Where History Meets Hospitality...
The Hanmer Arms stands as a living testament to the enduring history and architectural character of the village.
Built in the early 19th century, it is grade II listed and retains it's original character and detail with some alterations. The building is late Georgian and is a fine architectural example of the era with it's Flemish bond brick and slate roof on projected boarded eaves.
Hanmer itself is a quaint village tucked just inside Wales in the county of Wrexham close to the borders with both Shropshire and Cheshire. It is renowned for it's picturesque setting and historical significance. The village is home to St Chads church which is a notable landmark with a rich history dating back to the medieval period.
In the present day the Hanmer Arms remains a beloved hub for both locals and visitors standing as a reminder of the deep-rooted connections between architecture, community and tradition, inviting all who step inside to experience a piece of the past whilst enjoying the warmth and hospitality of the present.
